TSHK announced at its AGM held on 12 January 2009 that the Society would close with immediate effect as the Committee positions could not be filled.  TSHK's Paypal account will be closed and the Society's remaining funds will be donated to Threads of Life,a textiles charitable organisation based in Bali. We would like to thank all of our members and speakers for their enthusiasm and support over the past 15 years.

LAUNCH OF NEW ASIAN TEXTILES NEWSLETTER    

  Editor and publisher Bonnie Corwin announces the launch of Textiles Asia,an independent publication, unrelated to the Hong Kong Textile Society. The new publication seeks to keep people interested in Asian textiles connected. Its articles and listings are designed to keep collectors, scholars, historians, museum curators, textile conservators, dealers, fashion and costume design professionals, craftspeople and enthusiastic novices informed about research, exhibitions, educational programs, special tours and events related to Asian textiles across the world.

Textiles Asia will be published three times a year (spring, fall and winter). 1 year HK$275/US$35.
